In 2018 these partners came together with the goal of developing a solutions-oriented approach to developing safe, decent affordable homeownership in Indian Country.

After holding several intensive in-person gatherings, Rural LISC and its partners determined manufactured housing was one viable option, and while housing development in Indian Country faces many challenges, a “toolkit” would provide valuable resources for potential homeowners, Native American tribes, Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs), manufactured housing developers and funders. Your Journey Home is the result of this effort.

We hope you will explore the resources gathered here and learn more about buying your first home or developing affordable housing. Welcome home!
