Resources on how manufactured housing can play a role in the development of affordable housing in native communities.
Here you’ll find a wide range of housing programs and services brought together in one collaborative website.
Your Journey Home is a targeted Indian Country initiative developed in collaboration with Rural LISC, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Minneapolis, Fannie Mae and the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation to bring together tribal entities, community-based organizations, philanthropy and government agencies to explore solutions-oriented approaches to affordable housing on reservations across the country.
We believe that the best drivers of positive change in a community happen from the inside out and that supply chains and businesses local to the area best serve the people who live there. Since 2018, this group of collaborative stakeholders has come together, in person and virtually, to discuss the need for and development of affordable housing in native communities and how manufactured housing can play a role.

Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHE) are critically important organizations within the tribal community development arena, tasked with managing federal funds on reservations, including the Native American Housing and Self Determination Act (NAHASDA), the Indian Housing Block Grant Program (IHBG), and the Community Services Block Grant Act.
The Alternative Manufactured Housing Option collaborative works to support local businesses and connect individuals to resources that can help build affordable, alternative manufactured homes in Indian Country. Traditional housing models and mortgage financing are great choices, but sometimes other options are the right choice. See more about the alternative manufactured home option and why it is different from traditional manufactured housing.
Without special donors like you who know the importance of housing on health, education and quality of life outcomes, this collaborative would not exist. Your financial support helps grow the capacity of the comprehensive work being done in Indian Country.
